Session Proposal Form
Trustee/School Head Conference
The annual CAIS Trustee/School Head Conference provides professional development for new and veteran school heads and trustees. Workshops are presented on a wide variety of topics that are vital to the effective governance of independent schools.
Workshop proposals must be submitted to CAIS no later than Monday, October 3, 2011. All submissions will be reviewed by the CAIS Trustee Professional Development Committee, and CAIS will notify individuals who submitted proposals regarding the committee’s decisions. Letters of acceptance and refusal will be mailed out no later than November 15, 2011.
Please note the following speaker guidelines:
CAIS, a non-profit organization, does not offer speaker compensation or cover any travel expenses for workshop presenters.
Workshop speakers should refrain from the direct promotion of a product or service, as the goal of the meeting is to educate heads and trustees about issues pertinent to independent school governance.
Although CAIS will consider proposals from all individuals or groups, it will be particularly interested in presentations from those who have worked effectively with schools in the past.
For questions regarding presenting at the Trustee/School Head Conference, please contact Teal Gallagher at tgallagher@caisca.org or 818.845.0800 ext. 14.
