Intermediate grade teachers (especially language arts and social studies) are invited to meet Ms. Ji-li Jiang who will bring to life her powerful memoir, Red Scarf Girl: A Memoir of the Cultural Revolution through her moving presentation. In addition, she will share insights on how China has changed since the Cultural Revolution. Though a resident of the Bay Area, Ms. Jiang makes frequent trips to China as coordinator of her cultural exchange program. Her firsthand experiences with China's culture and government will provide teachers a unique window into this country. The workshop will include Q and A. Lunch will be served.
