Campbell Hall Breaks Ground On New Arts and Education Center
February 2011 -- In October of 2010, Campbell Hall broke ground on a project unlike any in the school’s history: The Arts & Education Center. The 111,000 square-foot comprises three two-story connected buildings, 24 state-of-the-art classrooms, a multi-level subterranean parking garage, an art gallery, outdoor learning spaces, a faculty resource center, terraces and gardens, with extensive use of multi-media throughout. The project will be LEED certified at completion, in May 2012.
A key feature of the new Arts and Education Center will be the integration of new and emerging technologies and professional-level tools, many specially designed to support visual, digital and performing arts, and others capable of allowing for high caliber instruction. New classrooms and features are designed for:

- Ample parking and a pedestrian friendly campus
- Visual Arts
- Band/Orchestra
- Choir rehearsal

Campbell Hall’s mission states that we are committed to academic excellence and to the nurturing of decent, loving, and responsible human beings. The school, serving students in grades K through 12, is a coeducational, nonprofit, independent, college preparatory day school. Founded in 1944 with 74 students (K-6), the school’s liberal arts program now serves 1,090 students with an average class size of 15-25. Committed to serving a diverse, interfaith student body, the campus provides a climate where the values of community, self-worth, compassion, respect, service, and responsibility are integral to its traditions. The academic program is structured and challenging. The core curriculum provides study in the traditional disciplines, which are enriched by a variety of activities including athletics, visual arts, music, drama, dance, computer science, digital technology and experiential education. Wherever possible, the school and its faculty endeavor to explore with students the cultures of the world to prepare them to become global citizens.
