Middle School Mathematics Teacher (P/T 50%)
The Part time (50%) Middle School U.S. Mathematics Teacher works collaboratively with the Middle School French Mathematics teacher, Middle School Math Coordinator, Middle School Director and Head of School to design and implement lessons for Middle School Mathematics courses within the Math Department.

• Teach two grade levels of Middle School mathematics (grades 6-8; primarily pre-Algebra and Algebra I or Integrated I with some Geometry)
• Teach a total of 12 class sections of Middle School mathematics (50 minute classes; 10 hours total)
• Teach a one-hour weekly mathematics club to Elementary students in grades 3 – 5 centered around MOEMS and some topics from the AMC8
• Oversee the yearly registration, administration and reporting of results of the AMC8 contest for interested students in grades 5-8
• Position includes one weekly paid hour of preparation / correction

• A minimum of a BA/BS or Master’s degree is required
• Bilingual French and English preferred but not required
• Experience and excellent understanding of a bilingual educational setting – preferred but not required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of demonstrated experience as a mathematics instructor, preferably with Middle School age students; new comers to the teaching field will be considered; ability to differentiate instruction to a wide range of learners within the same classroom; ability to integrate technology in one’s teacher; student-centered approach
• Proficiency with Google Suite of applications, including GoogleClassroom and Gmail as well as mathematics software
• Experience with and knowledge of Middle School students, their developmental needs, and Middle School curriculum - preferred
• Demonstrated experience as a teacher leader and advisor; inspiring passion for mathematics; dynamism as an educator
• Diplomacy and tact with parents
• Flexibility, imagination, and outstanding communication skills (oral and written)

Salary range, commensurate with qualifications and experience: $22,500 - $32,500 / year.
Same benefits as other P/T employees: all school calendar vacations, $1,000 installation package (upon provision of moving related receipts) if out of city.
