Mandarin Summer Program Teacher
July 8 - August 2
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Mark Day School seeks a collaborative and self-motivated Mandarin teacher to join the GoGlobal summer camp staff in July 2019. Opportunities exist for both a lead and support teacher for two to four weeks in July.

Opportunities and Responsibilities:
Teach a mixed-age class (ages 8-13) of up to 16 students to listen, speak, read and write Mandarin during morning lessons
Work collaboratively with other GoGlobal teachers to lead both Chinese and American games, sports, arts & crafts, and activities for up to 16 Mandarin-language learners from the U.S. and up to 16 English-language learners from China during afternoon cross-cultural learning time
Chaperone students on fun excursions to destinations in Marin
Supervise students during lunch and free play time

Details:
Position is a full-time position for two to four weeks of camp, starting on July 8 and running through August 2
Camp hours are 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
The camp will take place on the Mark Day School campus in San Rafael, north of San Francisco.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
Fluent in Mandarin and knowledgeable about Chinese culture
Relevant teaching experience
