Parent Engagement and Events Manager
Description
The Parent Engagement and Events Manager will contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of Mayfield’s advancement plans, providing direction and support for a variety of projects and initiatives that will include volunteer management, constituent engagement and relationship management, event planning and annual fundraising initiatives.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute to the School’s goals by building strong relationships with all constituents – working with the Advancement Team on all fundraising endeavors.

Manage the Mayfield Junior School Parents’ Association Board. Oversee the volunteer leadership and all aspects of PA events including: budget, volunteer recruitment, timeline and coordination of campus partners. Work with school leadership to develop and implement parent engagement strategies.

Manage logistics for all campus events including but not limited to: advancement, capital campaign, orientations, admission, Masses, plays, concerts etc.

Manage school event resources including but not limited to: linens, tables, napkins, cups, waters, sodas, coffee

Coordinate with every event leader to coordinate all details of event planning and logistics.

Manage the Facilities Team on execution of event set up.

Coordinate with Marketing and Communication Team on promotion, printed materials, etc.

Coordinate with Technology Team on all necessary event technology needs.

Ensure that all events follow the school’s marketing and brand guidelines.

Create event briefs with all relevant information and provide to all event stake-holders.

Plan and execute pre-event meetings with all event stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Experience in education and/or a not-for-profit environment preferred.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience in event planning and or development required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including listening and feedback capabilities.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide and diverse population, including principals, school officials, members of the leadership team, other employees, parents, students, volunteers, visitors and representatives from other organizations.

Ability to multitask, prioritize and follow-through effectively.

Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and protocol.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out duties and responsibilities.

Excellent ability to write effective communications.

High level of flexibility, responsiveness, patience, compassion and kindness.

High level of discretion in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and issues.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

High level of commitment to providing excellent customer service with the ability to develop productive work-related partnerships with staff members.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Generally works in standard office conditions and climate.

Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.

May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
