Elementary School Teacher - Primary Grades
Description
The Oaks School in Hollywood, California is seeking an experienced elementary teacher for a lower elementary position beginning in August of 2022. Candidates should not only have excellent teaching and interpersonal skills but also possess a deep understanding of developmentally appropriate curriculum, a passion for working with early elementary students, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Previous experience with elementary-age children
Experience with lower elementary education
A progressive approach to pedagogy
Demonstrated ability to create curricula and authentic assessments
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
A commitment to ensuring that multicultural themes and diverse perspectives are incorporated throughout the curriculum

Compatibility with the mission of The Oaks School
The ability to create, plan and deliver dynamic, integrated units of study

The ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
The ability and willingness to reflect and improve
The ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community
A California Multiple Subject Teaching credential (preferred)
A Masters degree (or higher) in Education (preferred)
