About PS1 Pluralistic School

As a dedicated K–6 program, we focus intentionally on the years that matter most, giving students the time, space, and support to grow with confidence on a campus designed for young children. Our teachers honor childhood as a joyful period of exploration, guiding students to think critically, collaborate effectively and build strong academic foundations. Rooted in pluralism, we believe children learn best in a diverse community where every voice is valued and every perspective respected. Students learn to listen, advocate and view the world through multiple lenses, developing empathy, adaptability and leadership skills that set them apart. By sixth grade, PS1 students are confident communicators, resilient problem-solvers and engaged citizens who are fully prepared for the next step. Families consistently share that their children leave PS1 not just ready for middle school, but ready for life with a deep sense of self, a love of learning, and the courage to stand up for what matters.
